Small aliquot volumes (under ≈ 20 µL) exceed the accuracy of ordinary laboratory pipettes at the low end — if your arithmetic lands there, the fix is more dilute solution, not heroic pipetting. This is the most common arithmetic mistake in the whole domain.

What this calculator deliberately ignores

Honest limits, so the tool is not over-trusted: it assumes the vial contains exactly its labeled mass of exactly its labeled compound — which is precisely what a certificate of analysis is for. Net content varies between batches; that variance is real and belongs in your uncertainty budget, not hidden in a rounding rule.

Scope note: this tool performs laboratory arithmetic (mass ÷ volume ÷ aliquot) for research planning. It is not dosing or medical guidance, and it knows nothing about what is appropriate for any organism or experiment — that is what protocols and supervisors are for.

Does the calculator store or send my numbers?

No. It is plain client-side JavaScript with no network calls, no storage, and no analytics on the inputs.

Why won’t you add dosing presets?

Because presets would be dosing guidance, and this site publishes none — see the disclaimer. The arithmetic is research planning; the protocol is yours.
